Paihia and District Residents and Ratepayers Assn v Far North District Council - This appeal succeeded to overturn the FNDC's decision granting consent for the construction of a 15 storey high-rise building at Tii Beach, Waitangi.

Flagstaff Hill, Russell: RC 2060154 Waitoto Developments LTD to create 11 Lots at Flagstaff Road.  We attended the hearing at the Council chambers. The FNDC declined the application in full, however Waitoto has appealed the decision the the Environment Court. The application is non-complying under the Transitional and Proposed District Plan. Waitoto Development has appealed the decision to the Environment Court. The RPS has filed notice to become an interested party in support of the FNDC's decision.

Orongo Bay, Tikitikioure, Russell: RC 2051061 Waitoto Developments LTD to create 16 Lots and 3 utility reserves to vest.  Stage one of a three stage, none-complying development plan.

Russell Heights Road: Application to extend an existing dwelling including a new boat shed, car port and driveways / parking. The RPS attended the hearing on 13 December 2006. The Council granted consent on 13 March 07 and the decision was appealed to the Environment Court by one of the submitters.

Long Beach, Russell:  Application to subdivide creating 6 residential sites on Long Beach. We attended the hearing and spoke to our submission. The Council has declined consent on 23 April 2007. The applicant has appealed the decision to the Environment Court.  (click to read submission)

Proposed Plan Change No 4 to the Regional Coastal Plan for Northland: Submission to the NRC on the proposed private plan change No 4 relating to Aquaculture Management Areas. This is currently being processed and was scheduled for hearings in November 07.
